The football striker who has been identified as Manasseh “Ziggy” Primo arrived at New York's JFK International Airport on a Visitor's Visa on June 11 to visit family members.

A 25-year-old Guyanese footballer who played for the Alpha United Football Club is in the custody of the US Authorities after he was busted at New York’s JFK Airport with just over a pound of cocaine in his stomach.

The football striker who has been identified as  Manasseh “Ziggy” Primo arrived at New York’s JFK International Airport on a Visitor’s Visa on June 11 to visit family members. He was however, questioned by Customs agents and it was during the interrogation exercise that he admitted that he had swallowed several pellets of cocaine.

The footballer was taken into custody and admitted to a medical institution where he passed out more than 50 pellets carrying just over one pound of powdered cocaine.

He has since been slapped with drug trafficking charges.
