A young Guyanese Chef is under Police guard at the Georgetown Hospital, and it’s not over a secret recipe.
The 26-year-old Chef from East Ruimveldt was busted on Sunday morning at the Cheddi Jagan airport on suspicion that he was trafficking cocaine. He admitted to the police that he had ingested several cocaine pellets.
An X-ray was done on his body and confirmed the presence of the cocaine pellets in his stomach. He was taken to the hospital, where he has started to pass out the cocaine pellets.
According to a Police statement, he has so far excreted 14 pellets. It is believed that he swallowed a total of 35 of them. He will remain hospitalized until all of the pellets are excreted.
The youth was on his way to The Bahamas when the bust was made.
He is expected to be charged before the end of the week.
