The "Made in Guyana" mark will now be added to the comoany's wine products, Rum products, Demico Ice-Cream, Crème Select Super Premium Ice Cream, Novelty (Frostee), Carbonated soft drinks, Beers, Shandy, and Malta.

Banks DIH to begin using official “Made in Guyana” standards mark

Guyana’s largest conglomerate, Banks DIH Limited, has become one of the latest companies to be issued with the rights by the Guyana National Bureau of Standards to begin using the official “Made in Guyana” standards mark on its locally made products.

The “Made in Guyana” mark will now be added to the comoany’s wine products, Rum products, Demico Ice-Cream, Crème Select Super Premium Ice Cream, Novelty (Frostee), Carbonated soft drinks, Beers, Shandy, and Malta.

At an official handover ceremony, Director of Business in the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, John Edghill congratulated the company on its achievement and its continued commitment to high quality locally manufactured products.

Banks DIH Chairman and Managing Director, Clifford Reis received the standards mark on behalf of his company.

The Made in Guyana Standards Mark is a registered mark that aims to provide recognition to locally manufactured products on the local and international markets and is a signature of quality for authentic Guyanese Products.
