A pilot of a small single engine aircraft was killed this evening when the plane crashed and exploded upon landing at an airstrip in Eteringbang in Region Seven.
The pilot has been identified as Captain Randy Liverpool. He was the only person onboard the plane at the time of the accident.
There are reports that the plane might have encountered some difficulties before landing, as it was seen flying extremely low, according to persons in the area.
This crash comes just days after another single engine plane crashed behind Canal #2 as it reportedly ran low on fuel during a trip from Arau to Ogle. The pilot and passenger on that flight both survived.
