Just two days after Georgetown teacher, Kescia Branche was found in an unconscious state at the road side along Princes Street and Louisa Row, she has died.
The woman was last seen alive leaving the Blue Martini nightclub late Saturday night.
Her body was found on the roadway as the sun came up on Sunday morning. She was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital in an unconscious state and was on life support since then.
According to young woman’s father, her twin sister was at her side just before 5 o’ clock this afternoon when she passed away. The sister only came into Guyana this morning.
Distraught family members want answers and are hoping that persons who may have witnessed the 22-year-old at the nightclub would come forward with information.
Police investigators have arrested two young men who were seen with the woman outside the same Lamaha Street nightclub. They are also seeking the whereabouts of at least one other man who was in the woman’s company the same evening.
According to Police sources, a Police Constable who was seen with the young woman the same night, is among the two persons in custody.
The Richard Ishmael School teacher was well liked at the school. Family members described her as a smart young woman who was always full of excitement and loved her family and friends dearly. They are hoping that some of the friends she was hanging with at the nightclub, would now come forward and provide information to solve what has now become a murder case.
Investigators are relying on the video recording from several CCTV cameras and other surveillance cameras in the Lamaha Street area.
