BREAKING: Two Guyanese murder suspects gunned down in Suriname

Police in Suriname are probing the execution-styled murder of two Guyanese men, who were both suspected of being linked to murder cases in Guyana.

The two dead men have been identified as Jerimiah Smith and Oswick Bazillio.

According to reports, the two were gunned down on a street in Parimaribo. The two men had reportedly been hiding out in neighbouring Suriname.

Bazillio was suspected of being involved in the murder of Joseph Wilkinson called ‘Dreddy’, while Smith was linked to the recent murder of Clynton Chase. Both Wilkinson and Chase lost their lives in separate execution incidents.

Joseph Wilkinson was killed back in February, while 70-year-old Clynton Chase was shot dead in front of his La Penitence home last week.

Crime Chief Wendel Blanhum has confirmed that the Surinamese Police Force has informed the Guyana Police Force of the double murder in Parimaribo.

Investigations are ongoing.
