A businessman remains in custody as the probe continues in the gunning down of 47-year-old contractor Kissoondat Premsukh.

Investigators are working on the theory that the murder was an ordered execution. The businessman who is in custody is suspected to be the one who ordered the hit. A woman who was also held initially by investigators has since been release on bail.

The contractor was gunned down at a Durban Street construction site as he was having a conversation with two other persons.

Police investigators have obtained a full video recording of the murder which was captured on surveillance cameras in the area.

The lone gunman could be seen running across to the contractor and firing several shots in his direction as the other two persons dashed for cover.

The gunman ran away from the scene. Investigators believe he could be identified from the video recording and so they have launched a search for the suspected gunman.
