Police investigators in Georgetown are probing the Boxing Night murder of Durban Street, Georgetown businessman, Shimron Adams.
According to reports, the businessman was shot dead by two bandits who attacked him just as he was closing up his business place on Monday night at the corner of Chapel and Durban Streets.
Adams operated the Shims General Store for a number of years at the location.
After he was shot, he was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Investigators are reviewing video recordings from a number of CCTV cameras in the area, in their efforts to identify the suspects.
Family and friends of the businessman have described him as a reserve and quiet person who was family oriented and was always friendly to his customers.
The investigations are ongoing.
