Two men who were arrested earlier this week for allegedly being involved in the robbery of a man on Croal Street appeared in Court today and were remanded to jail on the robbery charge.

The two were arrested by the Police after investigators reviewed a surveillance video recording of the robbery.

Appearing in Court today were 21-year-old, Chris Pollard, who has faced the Court previously on robbery charges, and 25-year-old Jamal Delph.

The two men denied the charge that on the 8^th February at Croal Street in Georgetown, they attacked and robbed Riaz Ahmad of his mobile phone and a small quantity of cash.

The Police Prosecutor objected to bail and noted the seriousness of the offense and the fact that the victim had to be taken to the hospital to tend to his injuries after the robbery.

Bail was refused and the two accused will make their next Court appearance on the 11^th March 2022.
