The Police report on the matter said the teen and his uncle were riding home, when the other construction worker Keon Carr attacked the teen suddenly as his uncle ran for help.

Construction worker remanded for murder of West Demerara teen

Five days after a 19-year-old West Demerara construction worker died from stab wounds after he was attacked on his way home, a 23-year-old construction worker has been charged and remanded for the murder.

The accused, Keon Carr appeared in Court today and was not required to enter a plea to the murder of Chris Gaichan Narine.

The Police report on the matter said the teen and his uncle were riding home, when the other construction worker Keon Carr attacked the teen suddenly as his uncle ran for help.

The attacker fled the scene on an electric motorcycle and was arrested a few days later.

The incident took place in Parfait Harmonie and a cause for the attack was not determined.

The accused was today remanded to jail for the murder. His next Court date is set for the 4th August.
