Police investigators are probing the death of a young couple at a West Demerara Resort and Hotel.

The bodies of Kevin Singh and Sabrina Nandram were discovered in the bathtub of the room they rented at the Aracari Resort and Hotel.

The two were expected to check out of the hotel on Sunday afternoon, but when management could not make contact with them and they did not appear for their check-out, a check of the room was carried out and the discovery was made

Police Commander for the West Demerara area, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean explained that there were no marks of violence on the bodies and the Police will have to be guided by a post-mortem examination to determine a cause of death.

The couple checked in at the hotel on Saturday and they were scheduled to leave on Sunday afternoon.

The discovery of the bodies occurred just before 6 pm on Sunday.
