Deputy Police Superintendent Dexter Brown was remanded to jail today after he was charged with trafficking more than 20 pounds of marijuana.
The Police Officer appeared today at the Vigilance Magistrate Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore. The Magistrate remanded the accused Police Officer to jail until the 2nd November 2021.
Officer Brown was arrested on the 1st October after the marijuana was found in a car that he was driving.
On the same night, he eluded a Police roadblock in Region Five but was intercepted at Mahaica.
The large parcels of marijuana were discovered in the trunk of the car.
