The Hydromet Office has issued flash flood warnings for Regions 1, 2, 3 and 4 as heavy rainfall and cloudy conditions are expected to remain over coastal Guyana.
The current weather condition is expected to continue into this evening with the possibility of thunderstorms in some areas.
According to the Hydromet Office, based on satellite data, rainfall accumulation could be between 25mm and 80mm for the remainder of the day, with Regions 1 and 2 receiving the largest amount of rainfall.
The weather pattern could leave to some flooding in some parts of the coastland. The Civil Defence Commission is already monitoring the situation.
