Fly AllWays Airline gets all clear for Guyana schedule service

The Guyana Government has approved the application of Surinamese Airline ‘Fly All Ways N. V.’ to operate scheduled air services here.

This will take effect from this month and will be for an initial period of two years. The Airline will operate on two routes, twice weekly from Paramaribo to Georgetown and then to Barbados.

It will also fly from Paramaribo to Georgetown to Boa Vista, Brazil using the Fokker – 70 Aircraft.

The Airline had approached the government, seeking to begin scheduled services here from February 1, 2016. However, after a period of public representations or objections over the application, it was eventually granted.

Currently, Suriname Airways offer twice weekly flights between Guyana and Suriname from the Cheddi Jagan Airport while Trans Guyana Airways offers twice daily flights from the Ogle Airport between Guyana and Suriname.

LIAT also offers daily flights from Ogle to Barbados.
