Guyana has recorded one more death and one more case of the coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The person passed away on Monday but the coronavirus test results became available today.

In Region Nine, village leaders are concerned about the illegal crossings from neighbouring Brazil and in many instances, the Brazilians are being supported by Guyanese in the area.

In the coming week, more local businesses and government offices will be reopening their doors.  The Deputy Chief Medical Officer has been offering some advice on a safer work environment.

The first case of coronavirus in Guyana was recorded back in March.  More than 350 cases have been recorded since then.
