According to a report the 57-year-old man from Georgetown, Guyana was in the town and was having cocktail drinks with a Brazilian woman when he passed out.

Brazilian media houses are reporting that Police investigators in the neighbouring country are probing the drugging and robbery of a Guyanese businessman in the town of Sao Vincente.

According to a report the 57-year-old man from Georgetown, Guyana was in the town and was having cocktail drinks with a Brazilian woman when he passed out.

Investigators suspect his drinks may have been laced with a drug called “Good Night Cinderella”.

The incident took place just after 2:30am on Tuesday. The man field a report to the Police after waking up with a headache and his phones and US$25,000 in cash missing.

The Guyanese man told investigators that he arrived in Brazil about 15 days prior to the incident to pay a visit to his 30-year-old lady friend.

The two were spotted at an apartment building in the town on the same day of the incident.

 The man, whose name has not been released, said all he remembers is drinking a glass of an alcoholic drink and losing consciousness. When he woke up six hours later, the woman and all of his belongings were missing.
Brazilian Police said the “Good Night Cinderella” sleep aid is well known in the country and breaks down one’s ability to put up a fight.
Security cameras caught the woman leaving the apartment with a backpack belonging to the Guyanese man.
