Police investigators in the town of Linden are probing the shooting death of a vendor in front of his home.

The incident occurred last evening at Wismar, Linden leaving residents with more questions than answers.

The dead man has been identified as 43-year-old Glenroy Chapman aka “G” of Half-Mile Linden. 

According to reports, Chapman and a friend were sitting on a bench in front of his yard when a masked gunman walked up and fired several shots at Chapman, hitting him multiple times.

 He was the only target and his friend bolted from the scene during the shooting that appeared more like an execution.

The 43-year-old man who was married and a father of eight worked as a vendor in the Mackenzie Market. 

There is no clear motive behind the shooting death and the suspect remains unknown as the investigations continue.
