The Guyana Police Force reported today that a post mortem examination conducted on the body of Sophia resident, Omar Ally, has revealed that he died of a heart attack.
Ally was discovered dead in a room at the Quamina Guest House last Friday. A woman, with whom he shared an extra-marital affair, was seen jumping from the second floor of the hotel and running away from the scene following the discovery of the man’s body.
The woman later revealed herself to be the man’s neighbour, Kenisha Thomas, and told journalist Travis Chase that she and the man shared a four year relationship, unknowing to his wife and family. She also said her family was unaware of the relationship.
She went into hiding after the man’s death as she maintained that he collapsed and died just after the two had sex. He reportedly consumed two bottles of a stout during his midday hotel excursion.
The post mortem examination also revealed that in addition to the man suffering from a heart attack, he also suffered from a ruptured blood vessel.
His wife and daughter identified the body before the examination. The body has since been handed over to the family for burial.
