An accident at Lethem in Region 9 has left one person critical and another nursing minor injures.

Thirty year old carpenter Raulins Phillips of Central Lethem was riding his motorcycle around 4:30 on Wednesday
afternoon when he collided with a car which was being driven by a Brazilian woman in the vicinity of the American
Store.

According to reports, Phillips sustained injuries to several parts of the body. One of his ankles was badly damaged.

Both persons were rushed to the Lethem Hospital where arrangements were made to medivac him to Georgetown.

The Brazilian woman was treated for her injuries and is assisting with the investigation.
