Police investigators are probing the death of 12-year-old Samesh Singh of Golden Fleece Koker Dam, Essequibo Coast. The young boy was reported missing on Thursday afternoon and his body was found this morning on the Golden Fleece Foreshore.
In a statement, the Police said the discovery was made by a relative of the young boy who was conducting searches for him.
The child was discovered lying face down in the sand at the foreshore. The relative who discovered the body contacted the Police. The Police said the body was found about 150 feet northeast of the Golden Fleece Koker and the child was clad only in a cream-coloured boxer underwear.
The Police said at this stage no foul play is suspected, but investigators are awaiting a post-mortem examination.
