Mother and son stabbed to death at Moblissa

The police have launched a manhunt for Moblissa man who they believe stabbed  a woman and her young son to death. Moblissa is located along the Linden Soesdyke Highway, just outside of the mining town of Linden.

33-year-old Moblissa farmer, Molly James and her 15-year-old son, Aaron James were stabbed to death early on Saturday morning in their Moblissa home. It is believed the incident took place just before 1 am.

According to a police report the two may have been stabbed to death over a report the woman made against the suspect earlier in the week to local police.

According to the Police statement, last Thursday, the woman filed a complaint that the suspect, whose name has not been released, attacked and raped her 13-year-old daughter while the young girl was washing clothes at a creek in the area.

The man was never arrested in relation to that matter but reportedly was informed of the woman’s report and broke into her home early Saturday morning and attacked her. She was stabbed multiple times to her body and her young son was attacked and stabbed to death by the same man as he tried to save his mother from the bloodied knife.

According to the Police, the woman’s 13-year-old daughter and some other siblings and relatives managed to escape from the house during the incident and hid in a bushy area. They were eventually rescued.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
