“Nasty Man” sentenced to 51 years in jail for footballer’s murder

Two weeks after a 12-member jury found Delon Henry aka Nasty Man guilty of murdering footballer Dexter Griffith, the Judge in the case handed down a 51 year jail sentence today.

The murder took place in 2015.

“Nasty Man”, who has also been fingered in a number of other crimes, waved to persons outside the courtroom following the sentence. Inside the Courtroom, the mother of the man who was murdered, said she forgives the convict for the act.

“Nasty Man” showed no emotions as the Judge handed down the lengthly sentence.

Throughout the trial, he had maintained his innocence, even as witnesses came forward pinning him directly to the crime.

While on trial, “Nasty Man” had told the Court that he has been in jail for most of his life and therefore would not have knowledge of the area where Griffith was shot dead.

In response to the guilty verdict, the convict, who is now likely to face other cases, said he believes the decision was as a result of the system being set up against him.

It was in September of 2015 that footballer Dexter Griffith was riddled with bullets near his home in Warlock, East Ruimveldt. The murder was described as an execution.
