The British Government has announced the appointment of Jane Miller as the new British High Commissioner to Guyana.
Ms. Miller will also serve as the non-resident British Ambassador to Suriname.
She is expected to take up her post in Guyana in July.
According to a statement from the British Foreign Office, the newly appointed High Commissioner to Guyana has spent the past six years working in Tanzania.
Her most recent position being that of the Deputy Head of the Department for International Development Tanzania office. She previously served in the same office as the Human Investment Team Leader.
The previous British High Commissioner served in the post for more than five years.
