The search for a new General Secretary of the People’s National Congress may be coming to an end as the party’s Leader, Aubrey Norton has asked Executive Member and Member of Parliament Dawn Hastings-Williams to serve in the position.
On Tuesday, Mr. Norton confirmed to News Source that he has met and held discussions with Ms. Hastings-Williams about serving in the key party position. He said it is almost a done deal.
He said an official announcement will come soon.
The position of General Secretary in the PNC Reform became vacant a few weeks back, with the official resignation Geeta Chandan-Edmonds from the position.
Chandan-Edmonds stepped down after serving in the position for less than a year. She has promised to remain on the Party Executive Committee.
