Police investigators are probing the shooting death of 24-year-old Carlos Waithe.

The man was shot dead in Leopold Street, Georgetown early this morning as he reportedly attempted to break up a fight between two other men.

Waithe collapsed at the scene and died.

At first, persons attempted to resuscitate him after he was shot but it was too late as he never regained consciousness.

By the time the police got to the scene, persons had already dispersed.

The murder is under probe.
