City Constable Aaron Henderson was accompanying city employee Euril Lowenfield just after 6pm on Monday when two motorcycle riding bandits attacked them and shot Henderson then grabbed a bag with $2 Milllion from Lowenfield.

The Guyana Police Force has launched an investigation into an early evening robbery and shooting that took place just outside the Bourda market at the corner of Regent Street and Orange Walk.

City Constable Aaron Henderson was accompanying city employee Euril Lowenfield just after 6pm on Monday when two motorcycle riding bandits attacked them and shot Henderson then grabbed a bag with $2 Milllion from Lowenfield.

Henderson was shot in the groin area and as the bandits escaped they fired several other shots in the area. A bystander who has since been identified as Savitree Singh was shot to her left foot.

They were both taken to the Georgetown Hospital where they were treated.

News Source understands that the perpetrators may have been recognised and police investigators also believe that they may have been provided with knowledge about the transfer of money.

The probe continues.
