The Guyana Police Force has placed one its own under close arrest following a complaint by a 14-year-old girl that she was raped by the police officer who is believed to be in his 20’s.
Police sources have confirmed that a rank of the Tactical Services Unit of the Guyana Police Force has been placed under close arrest following the rape allegations by the young girl.
The policeman allegedly “forced himself” onto the teen and allegedly raped her. The incident is believed to have occurred earlier this week. A report was made and the policeman was arrested immediately and held at the Criminal Investigations Department while investigators probed the allegations.
The young lady is believed to have completed medical tests and a file was expected to be sent for legal advice.
