Prisoners escape from Court Lock Ups

Several Police officers were on Monday morning searching several parts of the city in the Charlestown area after two prisoners escaped from the lock up facility at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

The escaped prisoners who are still on the run have been identified as Seon Cummings and Vicram Persaud. Cummings is facing several robbery charges while Rampersaud is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a police officer.

News Source understands that three prisoners managed to make their way out of the lock up facility by cutting through a ventilation area. One of the men was however, recaptured while the other two bolted from the facility and remained on the run.

Police patrols were dispatched to several parts of the city close to the Magistrates’ Court as they launched a search for the two men who remain on the run. More details emerging.
