RK Security Guards and accomplice charged and remanded after staging $7 Million robbery

Two Security Guards attached to the RK Security Service, along with a third person, were on Monday charged for a staged robbery in which monies belonging to several companies were coveted.

The two guards, Damion Pearce and Cleveland Pyle along with Pearce’s reputed wife Eulesie Stephen, made their appearance at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court where they were not required to plea to the indictable charges of robbery.
They were together charged with stealing $148,840 property of Church’s Chicken, $4.3 million property of Courts Guyana and $3 million property of S&S Supermarket.
They were also charged for stealing a .32 revolver which is the property of RK Security.
Pearce was also charged for possession of firearm and ammunition. The charges were read to them by Magistrate Ameena Ally. The trio will make their next court appearance on July 5, 2016.
Pearce and Pyle led police investigators to recover the stash of cash and firearm after first claiming that they had been victims of a robbery while transporting the money.

The two security guards were tasked with transporting the money to a commercial bank and making night deposits on behalf of the companies. However, they claimed that they were held at gunpoint and robbed of the over $7 Million in cash.

The Police investigators pressured the two guards under questioning and they eventually confessed to staging the robbery.

The money and firearm were found buried in the yard where Damion Pearce lives with his reputed wife, Eulesie Stephens in ‘A’ Field Sophia.
