Surinam Airways to begin schedule service between Georgetown and Bridgetown this month

Suriname’s national airline, Surinam Airways has announced that it will begin schedule flights between Guyana and Barbados from the 20th December.

In a statement, Surinam Airways announced that as part of an expansion plan, it will be rolling out a number of new destinations and additional routes.

The Georgetown-Barbados service will operate twice per week, with connections to Suriname and other destinations.

Surinam Airways has been operating in Guyana for several years, and believes that the expansion of its service to Barbados will contribute to increasing the airline’s productivity and earnings.

The airline said the new service has been welcomed by the authorities in both Guyana and Barbados.

Surinam Airways has also indicated that it is eyeing a number of other destinations in North America and Europe that will likely be connected to Guyana.
