Police investigators in Suriname have arrested the two Guyanese fishermen who are wanted in connection with the murder of 4 Guyanese fishermen at sea.
Wanted Bulletins were issued last week by the Guyana Police Force for 22-year-old Anonth Boodrage of Belvedere, Corentyne and 21-year-old O’brien Fraser of Eversham Village, Corentyne.
The two were held in Suriname over the weekend and are likely to be handed over to local authorities this week to face murder charges in Guyana.
Three other men have already been charged and remanded to jail in connection with the same murders.
Fishermen Vishnu Seeram, Marvin Tamasar, Lamar Petrie and Ajai Kissoon were attacked killed at sea during a fishing trip.
The bodies of two of the murdered fishermen have since recovered while the other two remain missing.
