Police investigators are probing the murder of a 17-year-old Essequibo young man who was stabbed to death on Monday afternoon. The dead teen has been identified as Alex Narine of Colombia on the Essequibo coast.
Initial reports state that Narine and another man got into an argument over a computer system and during that confrontation, the 17 year old was stabbed to his back.The incident occurred at Anna Regina. Narine was pronounced dead on arrival at the Suddie hospital.
His assailant has been arrested and is expected to face murder charges before the end of this week.
Meanwhile, the Guyana Police Force is reporting that the suspect in the stabbing murder of a miner in Mazaruni has been caught. The man who was on the run was found by police sleeping behind a house in the Region 7 area.
