As investigations continue into the murder of businesswoman Shevon Gordon of Block 22, Wismar, Linden, the police have arrested three men they believe were involved in the shooting death.
The arrests were made on Tuesday.
Ranks of the police force have been under pressure in recent time to solve the spate of violent crimes and robberies that continue to claim lives.
The men are in custody assisting with the investigations.
The 45-year-old Linden businesswoman aka Elizabeth and Lizzie was shot dead by robbers back in April in front of her husband as they arrived at their home from her business place.
“The men demanded a bag with cash that Shevon Gordon had in her possession and she resisted and was shot to her body. The men then took away the bag and ran away”, the police report said.
The bandits were pursued by the woman’s husband and their son Devon Gordon. The son managed to catch up with the perpetrators and a scuffle ensued during which he was shot to his left thigh and the men then escaped with the bag and money.
Charges could be filed against the three men before the end of the week.
