Guyana recorded two more COVID-19 related deaths today, taking the total number of deaths to 60.
Of the 60 COVID-19 related deaths, 40 were recorded in the past six weeks, while the other 20 were recorded between March and July.
The Ministry of Health today revealed that the two latest fatalities were a 63-year-old woman and an 80-year-old woman who were both from Region One.
No other details were provided but contact tracing is being done in relation to the two deaths.
Two deaths were also recorded yesterday and four were recorded this past weekend.
Guyana recorded 26 new cases as of midnight last night, according to the COVID-19 dashboard.
There are 555 positive cases in home isolation and 52 in institutional isolation. There are still 16 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
