Two family members gunned down by bandits during Linden home invasion

According to reports, just after 4 o' clock this morning, armed bandits broke into the home demanding valuables and money. The bandits opened fire, killing the two men and injuring a 20-year-old relative, whose name has been given as Denzil Roberts.

Two family members gunned down by bandits during Linden home invasion

Police in Linden are probing the early morning gunning down of two members of a Wismar family during a home invasion this morning.

The two dead persons have been identified as 87-year-old Johnson Bowen and 58-year-old Manuel Dos Santos Borgesilva.

The 58-year-old was a gold miner.

According to reports, just after 4 o’ clock this morning, armed bandits broke into the home demanding valuables and money. The bandits opened fire, killing the two men and injuring a 20-year-old relative, whose name has been given as Denzil Roberts.

Recently appointed Region 10 Police Commander, Asst. Commissioner Kurleigh Simon visited the scene of the crime this afternoon and met with grieving family members. He reported that two suspects have since been taken into custody and are being questioned.

There are reports that other suspects are being sought.

Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn also visited the home of the family to express his condolences.

The matter remains under investigation.
