The U.S Embassy in Georgetown announced on Thursday that it has managed to restore its Visa Processing Systems which now allow for the printing of visas for applicants whose nonimmigrant visa (temporary visit – holiday/tourist/student) applications were approved on interview dates – June 08 to June 23, 2015.
Applicants who were issued blue coupons between June 08 to June 23 should appear on Friday, June 26, 2015 to pick up their passports.
The Embassy has asked that they refer to the schedule below and conform their arrival time at the Embassy or those specific pick up times.
This will prevent unnecessary delays and long wait lines.
Appointment/Interview Date | Pick-up Time on June 26, 2015 |
June 08 and June 09 | 8:00 a.m. |
June 11 | 9:00 a.m. |
June 12 | 10:00 a.m. |
June 15 | 11:00 a.m. |
June 16 | 12:00 noon |
June 18 | 1:00 p.m. |
June 19 and June 22 | 2:00 p.m. |
June 23 | 3:00 p.m. |
Please note that this is specific to non-immigrant visa applications only (temporary visit – holiday/tourist/student).
Persons are asked not to bring any personal belongings with them to the Embassy, just their ID card and the blue slip.
Information about Immigrant Visa (Permanent Visas) pick-up times will be announced as those visas become available. The Embassy says it deeply regret the inconvenience to travelers who are still waiting for their visas.
In a statement it said it “strongly encourage applicants who were approved for visa issuance to appear on June 26 as per the above schedule; however, if circumstances do not permit you to appear, please contact our Visa Inquiries Unit via e-mail to [email protected] to make alternative arrangements.”
