Without a Trace: GEA officer remains missing one year later

One year later, there is still no trace of Guyana Energy Agency employee LeVoy Taljit who went missing last December and has not been seen or heard from since.

Taljit who was 25 years old at the time left his Queenstown home driving a  Toyota Raum motorcar and relatives said that was the last they saw of him. He is 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a burgundy t shirt and jeans.

Days after he went missing, one of his nieces said it was not like him to stay away from home without letting them know his whereabouts. Police reports were filed but searches in several parts of the country turned up empty handed.

His vehicle was discovered in a clump of bushes along the Linden Soesdyke highway but there was no trace of the young man.

Relatives remain optimistic that he may still be alive although they want to face the possibility that he may be dead. They said they know of no reason why anyone would want him dead. The case is still actively engaging the attention of the Guyana Police Force. His relatives have expressed concern about the police investigation.
