Police are investigating the brutal murder of an Agricola woman who was found late on Friday night with her throat slit in her Public Road, Agricola home, while a visiting friend was found badly beaten and unconscious in the yard.
The discovery was made by the woman’s husband, who rushed the two women to the Georgetown hospital where doctors pronounced his wife dead and admitted her friend for further medical care.
Investigators believe that the two women may have been attacked late Friday night by bandits while the husband was at his security job. The dead woman has been identified as 55-year-old Donna Taylor.
Investigators intend to speak to the friend who survived the ordeal later on Saturday. She is believed to have suffered several serious injuries. An investigation is underway.
