A 25-year-old, construction worker will spend the next three years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to marijuana possession.

The man, Satifa Joseph, stood before Magistrate Judy Latchman and pleaded guilty to the offence of trafficking of narcotics.

The Court heard that on the 16th November on America Street, Joseph had 21 grams of marijuana in his possession.

The marijuana was found when ranks carried out a search of the man during an operation. He was immediately arrested and charged.

In Court today, he didn’t bother to offer a defence to the charge.
