The Guyana Police Force on Monday issued a Wanted Bulletin for Water Street Businessman, Randy Jagdeo. According to the bulletin, Jagdeo is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of biker Kirk Davis who was gunned down in front of his Eccles home last Tuesday night.
The Police Force is asking for anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Randy Jagdeo to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 226-7065, 227-1149, 911 or the nearest police station.
The statement added that all information will be treated with strict confidence. Randy Jagdeo’s date of birth has been given as August 19, 1985. He is of East Indian descent, fair in complexion and stout in-built and his last known address was given as 159, Third Street, Alexander Village, Georgetown.
The move by the Police Force came less than 24 hrs after Police Commissioner Leroy Brummel named the businessman as the prime suspect in the biker’s murder. The Commissioner spoke with relatives and friends on Sunday night telling them that the Police were moving “fine” with the investigations and the investigators ought not be pressured at this time.
Family and friends of the late biker gathered at the Cuffy Square and in front of the Brickdam Police Station on Sunday night for a vigil for justice.
There are reports that the wanted man has been reaching out to a number of friends of the deceased, apologizing for the murder and telling them that he could not believe what happened.
Last Tuesday night, the businessman and his wife turned up in front of the home of Kirk Davis. Jagdeo accused Davis of having a relationship with his wife. The young man denied the allegations and was shot repeatedly to his upper body as he sat in the car that the businessman was driving.
The two men were friends who traveled across Guyana together in their biker’s posse to various shows and events. They were also involved in motorcycle stunts.
The family of Kirk Davis say all they need at this time is justice.
