
Three Japanese nationals and a local taxi driver were on Tuesday night robbed of several electronic gadgets and cash totaling over $2 million.
Police said the four persons including taxi driver, 38-year-old Abdool Rahim were at the Ogle Seawall when they were pounced on by three men who were armed with handguns.
They were robbed of two video cameras valued $560,000.00, one laptop valued $300,000.00, $820,000 in cash, four cellular phones valued $300,000.00 and twenty three video tapes valued $106,000.00.
The victims who are on holiday, went sightseeing when they were relieved of the articles by the men who escaped in a motor car without any registration number plate.
Police yesterday arrested a woman who had one of the stolen articles in her possession. She is assisting with the investigation.
