
The Guyana Police Force today issued wanted bulletins for escaped prisoners Desmond James, Cornelius Thomas and Cobena Stephens aka OJ.
The three make up the group of eight escapees from the Georgetown Prison.
The Police Force is asking that anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Desmond James, Cornelius Thomas and Cobena Stephens aka OJ, to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-8196, 225-2227, 227-1149, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest police station.
Eight prisoners are unaccounted for following Sunday’s jailbreak and fire at the Camp Street jail. So far, investigators have named six of the eight escapees.
At the time of the fire, which completely gutted most of the prison, there were 1018 prisoners in the facility. The Joint Services has launched a nationwide manhunt for the escapees.
Information of their whereabouts has been trickling in, according to Police sources.
