
Police investigators in West Demerara have issued a call for anyone whose motorcycle was stolen recently to visit the Vreed-en-hoop Police station to see if any of a number of recently recovered motorcycles, belongs to them.
The Guyana Police Force today reported that it recovered a total of 13 motorcycles and 4 frames from a workshop of a Pouderoyen welder/fabricator during a Police operation.
The bikes are suspected to have been stolen.
Police visited the workshop after receiving reports that it was a hotspot for stolen items.
The 26-year-old welder was arrested along with his father after the search by the Police unearthed the 13 motorcycles and a .32 Taurus revolver.
The Police said the suspects were unable to provide answers about the ownership of the bikes. All of the seized bikes are at the Vreed-en-hoop Police station.
