The Guyana Police Force carried out an early morning operation in the East Bank village of Agricola today and several items that are suspected to have been stolen or illegally obtained were seized.
Additionally, Police have arrested 29 persons.
Between the early morning hours of 04:45-08:00hrs today, scores of Police ranks, commanded by a Senior Superintendent conducted “Operation Restore Order” in the community.
According to the Police, a woman is among those arrested arrested for various offences including Possession of a firearm component, Cocaine and Marijuana Possession and Robbery under Arms.
Two motorcycles, a number of cellular phones and other items suspected to be stolen or unlawfully obtained, were also found.
A total of two hundred and twenty (220) ranks were involved in the operation.
