InterCaribbean Airways has announced its plans to begin twice-weekly non-stop service between Guyana and the island of Grenada.
According to a statement from the airline, the new service is awaiting government approval, but is set to begin on the 1st December.
The statement explained that the service between Guyana and Grenada would be operated on Thursdays and Sundays and the direct flight between the two destinations will take less than 90 minutes.
Currently, Caribbean Airlines is the only other airline offering a service to Grenada from Guyana, but that flight connects through Trinidad and Tobago.
InterCaribbean Airways, which is a Turks and Caicos registered airline, began operations in Guyana in 2021, and has been expanding its footprint to a number of other Caribbean destinations since then.
The airline currently operates services to Barbados and other connections from Guyana.
