Albouystown teen remanded to prison over armed robbery charge

An Albouystown teenager was today charged and remanded to Prison by Magistrate Fabayo Azore after he was charged for robbing a man of three gold Chains.

18-year-old Kevon Ridley appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and entered a plea of not guilty.

The Prosecution’s case is that on March 24th in Georgetown, the defendant being armed with a firearm, robbed Linden Roberts of his three gold chains worth $360,000.

The Prosecution claims that while the incident was being investigated, the teen admitted to the Police that he had committed the crime, however, the teenager held on to his not guilty plea.

Bail was denied based on the seriousness of the crime.

The young man will make his next court appearance on 19th April.
