A joint operation between the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit and the Guyana Police Force has resulted in the seizure of 540 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of two suspects.

Details on the identity of the two suspects have not been released.

The bust took place on Friday in Campbell Avenue in Georgetown.

A report from CANU said the operation led to searches at two locations as well as Parika minibus.

CANU said the investigations into the bust are ongoing and the two arrested suspects remain in custody.
