Corentyne man found murdered in car; Two suspects in custody

Police investigators in the Berbice region are probing the murder of 25-year-old Joshua Hardatt aka “Money”, of Bloomfield Village, Corentyne.

The young man’s lifeless body was found in the back seat of his parked Toyota Premio car on Wednesday morning along the Auchlyne Cultivating Dam.

Investigators said he was found lying face down in a crouching position in the back seat of the car with marks of violence to his face, his forehead and a wound to the back of his head.

The young man was last seen alive on Tuesday evening, when he left his home. Family members learned of his passing when they were informed of his car being discovered on Wednesday morning, with his lifeless body inside.

His mother, Lolita Hardatt, told reporters that she became concerned when the young man did not return home the night. She said it was unlike him to stay out all night and she became even more worried when calls to his telephone number went unanswered.

The Police said two suspects have already been arrested in connection with the murder, as investigations continue.
