A 35-year-old Waramadong miner was today remanded to prison today after he was charged with the murder of his brother-in-law.
The accused, Anthony Edwards, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable murder charge.
He appeared before the Chief Magistrate and the charge was read to him.
The Prosecutor told the Court that on the 15th September in the Waramadong village, Edwards chopped his brother-in-law Dorian Brown to death as the two got into an argument.
The Police Prosecutor said both men were at a fundraising event in the community and were seen drinking alcoholic beverages for several hours.
