Two weeks after being slapped with fraud charges, a real estate agent was back in Court today facing five additional fraud charges. He is being accused of selling land that he did not own or was authorized to sell.
22-year-old, Basdeo Persaud stood before Magistrate, Fabayo Azore and denied all five charges when they were read to him.
The Court was told that he obtained the sum of $60,000 as part payment for a plot of land in Georgetown.
He also allegedly collected the sum of $260,000 from Rohani Persaud in January by falsely pretending that he was in a position to grant him a plot of land.
It was further alleged that the same accused on the 22nd February at his Campbellville office, he obtained the sum of $50,000 while on the 30th August he obtained $400,000 and later another $50,000 from Roheni Randine for several plots of land that he does not own.
The man was already on bail on the initial charges and was today granted bail again on the new charges.
